PREFACE


Thanks to the God Almighty who has blessing us to finish this paper with the title “Educational Processes”. This paper is made  for our assignment in Introduction to Education  lesson. In process to create this paper, the author find some problem. It because of our knowledge that still need to improvement. But because of the guidance and big support from many peoples, so we can finish it.
Therefore, the author want to say thanks to the :
1.      Mr. Redana as our lecture who has guidance us
2.      Our best friend in RKBI Class who has supported us.
3.      And many others who has supported us.
This paper is still need improvement and still contain many of mistake, because of that we need advise and ctritic to make this paper will be better and can usefull for many people.

EDUCATIONAL PROCESSES


BACKROUND

            As a nation that need progression in all side, education play an important role to reach it. Because a big nation or a nation that has good progression always has good education. Education is the main point to determine the progression of the nation. By good education, the nation will be able to master knowledge and technology. Because in this global era, knowledge and technology are very important to prepare qualified citizens who can compete at global market.
Besides, education can bequeath national culture from one generation to another.  Also can form characterized individual, because education is systematic activities and directional activities. And then with a good education , a nation can  provide competence workers who have good preparation.
But in fact, there are many problems that we find in educational processes. Nowadays, the problem of education is one of the important things to discuss, especially in our country, Indonesia.To solve the problem  and make the purpose will be come true, it needs great effort and involve several inputs, such as students, teacher and curriculum. From this way, these main things must be balance and get big support. If this happen,education will produce outputs which can face complex life and workers which are ready to compete at global era. Therefore, education can be viewed as a system. But as a big a problem for this case is look for the good way in education. Because as we know, it is very difficult to get good education without know how do educational processes take place so that can result excellence outputs. So this is a problem which need solution to solve it. Not only for the citizens who involve there but also for all citizens. Because all of us need education for our life and for our prosperity.

DISCUSSION

1.      The Meaning of Education

a.       Education Based on Broad Definition
Education is all of experiences that happen in all environment and as long as life. Education is all the life situation that influence the growth of individual.
b.      Education Based on Narrow Definition
Education is a school. Education is learning processes in school as a formal education institute. Education is all the influence which is tried by the school for the children and teenagers so that they have perfect ability  and full of awareness for their relationship and their social duty.
c.       Education Based on Limited Broad Definition
Education is consciousness effort which is done by the family, the society and the government through the guidance activity,teaching activity and exercise,which happen in the school and the outside of the school as long as life, to prepare the students so that they can play the role in every environment of life correctly,in the future.Education is learning experiences that has been planned in the form of formal education, informal in the school and the outside of the school, that happen  as long as life.
d.      The meaning of Education that has been summarized by Freeman Butt (In William,1975) In his book with the title “SejarahPendidikan Barat sesuaiKultur/Budaya.
Education is an activity of take and give the knowledge therefore the culture can be bequeathed from one generation to another.Education is a processes. Through this process, the human has been taught faithfulness and readiness to obey the role.Education is a growth processes. In this process, individual is helped to develop the ability, skills or the talent and their enthusiasm to the something.Education is reconstruct and reorganization of the experiences that will be increase the meaning and the readiness of the experiences to direct the next experiences.  That growth process is meant as ability to reconstruct the experiences which come from the outside as a new experience and to equiping the previous experiences continuously therefore it is possible for them to develop theirselves.Education is adaptation processes with the modern life. Therefore, the humancan  preparetheirselves to the modern life.
e.       Definition based on GBHN 1988 (BP,7 Center ,1990: 105)  give the limit about National Education is like this  : The National Education that based on the culture of Indonesian Nation and based on Pancasila and UUD is directed to increase intelligence or prestige and standing nation, to make the human and the society to be believe and religious to the God, qualified person, have self-supporting, therefore they afford to draw them up and the society and can fulfill  the requirement of  national development and responsible on the national development.
f.       According to Ki HajarDewantara
Education is guidance in life of the children growth,  and it means education is direct all the strength of omnipetence, so that as the human and member of the society, they can reach the safety and happiness.
g.      Based on the law Number 2 year 1989 ( UU No 2Tahun 1989)
Education is consciousness effort to prepare students through the tuition activity, teaching process, or the practice for their role in the future.
h.      Based on The Law Number 20 Year 2003 (UU No 20 Tahun 2003 )
Education is consciousness effort and that has been planned to make the learning situation and the learnimg processes ,so that the students actively to develop their potency to have religion spiritual strength,self control,personality,intelligence,good attitude and skill that will be needed by themselves , the society,the nation and the country.

2.        The purposes of Education

a.       The National Purposes Of Education in the Law Number 2 Year 1989 (UU Nomor 2 Tahun 1989)
Enlightment the national life and develop the Indonesian human intactly therefore can create the human who believe the God ,to be Godly and good behavior, have the knowledge and skills, health outside and inside, settled characteristic and have self-supporting  and also responsible to the society and the nation.
b.      According to RedjaMudyahardjo also divided the purposes of education, there are in broad definition,narrow definition, and limited broad definition.
1.   In broad definition, there are the purposes of education in every  learning experiences, it is not determined from the outside. The purpose of education is growth. The purpose of education is unlimited. The purpose of education is the same with our target in life.
2.   In narrow definition, the purpose of education is determined by the outside elements. The purpose limit in development of special ability.The purpose of education is preparation of the life.
3.   In limited broad definition,the purposes of education is combination of the educational purposes that has character to develop the personal ability optimally with the social purposes that has character of intactly human who can play their role as the citizen in all environment of life federation and social life.
c.       According to  Umar Tirtarahardja and La Sulo in their book with the title “PengantarPendidikan “,the purpose of education has two function, there are to give direction in all of educational activity,and as something that want to be reach by all the educational activity. The general purpose of the national  education in Indonesia is the human of Pancasila.

3.        The Functions of Education

a.    Education as bequeath processes of national culture is an activity to endowing the culture from one generation to another one. The national culture has been bequeathed from previous generation to the new generation. There are three form of bequeath national culture,  the value that still suitable to be continued like sincerity value,responsible,etc. The unfavourable value to be improved, like the way in wedding party.  And if it is not suitable value , it will be changed, like sex education.
b.  Education form characterized individual
There are two form characterized individual processes, form characterized individual for them who doesn’t adult yet from them who has been adult. And for them who has been adult by themselves.
c.         Education as preparation for the citizen
To make the citizen has known about their right and obligation.  
d. Education can provide competence worker
The base of education are form the attitude, knowledge and the skills to the graduation candidate.

4.    Elements of education

According to  Umar Tirtarahardja and La Sulo in their book with the title “PengantarPendidikan “, process the education involve elements, such as:
1.        Students
Students are individual person who wish to confessed their existence. As person who has characteristic and desire  to develop theirselves continually to afford to solve the problem in their life.
Characteristic of the students that must be known by educator, are :
1. Individual who has physical potency and typical psychical, so that represent the unique mankind.
       2.Individual who is expanding
3. Individual requiring individual guidance and good treatment
4. Individual who has ability to be self-supporting.
2.  Educator or teacher
Educator is person who hold the responsible to education execution. Parents, teacher, leader program of the study , practice, and society/ organization hold responsible to education.
3.        Interaction between Student with the Educator ( Educative Interaction)
Educative interaction is reciprocal communications between student with educator that directed to the purposes of education.
4.        Influence that given in the guidance process ( Education Matter)
The matter contain the main matter that has the national character and local payload that have mission to develop the cultural according to environmental condition.
5.        The Way that be Used in Guidance process ( Tools and Method)
Tools see the education type, while the method see the efficiency of education. Tools and method are everything that be performed to reach the purposes education. Education tools consist of the education tools that have the preventivecharacter  which  prevent something happen that is not wanted, for example interdict, demarcation, commemoration, and penalization. And also tools that having the character of curative that is mean to improve , for example invitation, advice, motivation, gift of suggestion belief, clarification , and penalization. Education tools  expected to have balances with purposes of education, with  subject who is taught ( Students) , educator, and situation or  condition when it is used.
6.        Place where Guidance Process Take Place ( Education Environment )
Environmental of education contain the family environment, environmental of school, and society environment.

5.        Input of education

According to  Umar Tirtarahardja and La Sulo in their book with the title “PengantarPendidikan “ Input of education, such as:
1.      The new student is the raw input to be processed to become output.
2.       Teacher, school administration, curriculum, education budget, and medium are the instrumental input that supporting raw input process become output.
3.      Cultural pattern and economic condition of society, politics and state security are the environmental factor or environment input which directly or indirectly have an effect on to instrumental input role in raw input process.

6.        Output of education

Outputs are graduated person who produced from educational processes that involve input (student, teacher, school administration, curriculum, education budget, medium, cultural pattern and economic condition of society, politics and state security ) Input that is  processes will be qualified graduated person or workers which are ready to compete at global market

7.        The Role of Teacher in Education Proceses

Teacher role in education are to be a facilitator , guide , motivator, and maximise student skill.
Teacher as a facilitator means ,how ever great teacher , however the teacher way to  teach would not useful if the student doesn’t have motivation to learn, Because of that teacher just as a facilitator.Learning doesn’t like a militer that the student should be puss and force to learn, education not also like baby give eat by his mother,  teacher just can help student,if the student have motivation and purpose to learn, and teacher just give the way ,student should be active. So teacher can help the student only if the student have a motivation from their selves  to  learn.
Teacher as motivator mean teacher should growing the spirit of learning from student heart ,so the student have reason and have a purpose why he/she should be learning. This could be do with  grow the student curiousity and give a student environtment learning , learn not only in the classroom, science not only in the book. Students aren't consumers of facts. They are active creators of knowledge
Teaching to the test does not inspire or motivate anyone, memorizing does not inspire a love to learn, in fact, it does just the opposite, it turns off the desire to learn. Education’s goal should be to develop a love to learn that stays with students throughout a lifetime. Education should be a lifetime experience, not limited to the youth years.
Teacher as a guide mean if the student have and know their motivation ,reason, purpose,and why she/he ahould be learn, Teacher  just give some clue and suggest, what should they do  and make the reason and porpose the student learning become a true.
Teacher to maximise the student skill. Every student have a specific skill and hoby, teacher should help student  explore their skill , and maximise student skill with help by teacher and support by a other element of education .

8.        Education as A System

Education as a system  cause education can bequeth national culture, form characterized individu ,and provide competence worker .Education not only read book and answer a test but education also  learn about soft skill, make a good behavior so the output are ready to compete in global market.

9.        Why EducationCan Produce  Worker which Can Compete in Global Market?

Because with education the student will get  knowledge how to live , education  will maximise student skill with help by teacher and support by a good facility  that will not get without  education, beside of that education also will grow the student soft skill , Based on survey a success are 80 % determined by soft skill,and  20% determined by hard skill.  So only with education student can find knowledge how to live and growing their softskill, the first modal to compete in global market.

10.    The Meaning of Global

Global is universal, complete, in general, and in globular.

11.    The Meaning of Global Market

Global market is situation and system of tight competition in the market.

12.    The Meaning of Era Global

Era global is a certain process that including totally in any plane life so can’t see situation hitching up boundaries the real, so it is difficult to control.         

13.    How do educational processes take place?

Student as the main input would be given a knowledge and skills in this educational processes to be a worker that can  compete in global market.
In Educational Processes the student  will learn how to life with 3 aspec:
Ø  Kognitif aspect
Ø  Affective aspect
Ø  Psikomotoric aspect
       Talking about competence worker, workers are a man that master in his/her specific job . To produce a competence worker ,student will face with  a process ,a educational processes .The processes are the student will direct to know his /her ability, and   with other input like teacher, facility, curriculum will work sinergiously to maximize the student skill in specific specialitation. Like our lecture said student like a clay that would be changed to be a beautiful  ceramic ,The student  should be processed like hit , smoothed, and burn in a stuff(facility). Besides,  the most important skill also soft skill .based on the survey a man success 80% determined by soft skill and 20 % determined by hardskill.

CONCLUSION

1.      The meaning of education is effort of the human to guide the personality based on the value in the society and the culture.
2.      The perpose of education Enlightment the national life and develop the Indonesian human intactly therefore can create the human who believe the God ,to be Godly and good behavior, have the knowledge and skills, health outside and inside, settled characteristic and have self-supporting  and also responsible to the society and the nation.
